My one 2015 resolution was to post on this blog every day. As it turns out, that’s not quite feasible. And resolutions should always be feasible. So I’m tweaking it a bit to make sure I can stick to it. I’m taking the weekend off and probably also a break or two for vacations. Every day will still have it’s set theme:

Series 1: 20th and 21st century history of Israel

Links! What am I reading/viewing/hearing this week?

Free topic. I’ll take a topic from the news this week and research its context.

Series 2: history of Ukraine, focussing on Ukrainian nationalism and Russian domination/separatism.

Review. I’ll mostly review books, and sometimes films and magazines.

The News in Context needs time to grow. For me, it’s very much an organic thing, in as much as I didn’t know where it was going from the start, and I still only have the vaguest of ideas. If there’s a subject I haven’t covered yet, or a particular aspect of a story that you would like me to figure out, please tell me in the comments below. You can also use the comments section on this page to provide criticism (or praise) on the blog as a whole.
